Dennis Walgamuth – Volunteer Spotlight
The Northeast Iowa Council is pleased to honor Dennis Walgamuth as a Spotlight Volunteer! Dennis received the Dubuque District Boy Scouter of the Year for 2017!
Dennis has worked passionately with adults and youth to keep their troop records up-to-date. He was instrumental in transitioning the record keeping from a manual system to the new Scoutbook program. He actively supports troop fundraisers, 4th of July presentations, and the Scouting for Food event in Bellevue.
Dennis is involved with and supports activities outside of his own unit as well. He assisted with the Camporee that was held in Bellevue. He frequently helps with property improvement projects at Camp Klaus, and spent numerous weekends working on the renovated Visitor’s Center.
Dennis’ contributions are not limited to Scouting. He has assisted multiple times with his community’s 4th of July parades. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, and also American Legion Post 273.
On behalf of the Northeast Iowa Council, please help us say thank you to a very dedicated Scouter, Dennis Walgamuth!
